Once about Knowledge and knowledge systems, especially knowledge applied to economic development, but since I retired branching into politics, music and whatever catches my attention.
I do plan to attend on Wednesday. I wlll try to make comments afterwards.
There are many questions that one might ask the Science Advisor to the Department of State at this time. Any suggestions?
One of the problems for a Science Advisor is that advice is most useful if it is requested and really wanted. Telling people what they don't want to hear doesn't seem to work too well.
One question that I have is whether the science advisor has developed a system to channel scientific findings to State Department officials? Is there a way to disseminate information on international technology policy developing in places like the National Research Council to the relevant Bureaus in State?
