Quotation from Molly Ivins

Shrub

People who have read only one book can be quite dangerous--witness Timothy McVeigh and all those poor citizens who read Ayn Rand and are struck like Saul of Tarsus on the road to Damascus. Had Bush also read, say, Oscar Lewis, Kenneth Clark, Robert Coles, Michael Harrington, Jonathan Kozol, William Julius Willliams, Frances Piven, Nicholas Lemann, or a host of others who are not necessarily bleeding hearts, one would be less inclined to be alarmed over the impact of this one book (referring to The Dream and the Nightmare: The Sixties Legacy to the Underclass by Myron Magnet).
