UNCTAD.ORG >> Investment Policy Reviews (IPRs)
UNCTAD´s program on Investment Policy Reviews (IPRs) seeks to help countries to improve policies and institutions that deal with foreign direct investment (FDI) and to increase their capacity to attract and benefit from it.
The Investment Policy Review (IPR) for a country provides an evaluation of the policy, regulatory, institutional and operational framework for FDI. IPRs are done in developing countries and economies in transition.
The website provides free downloadable versions of IPRs for a number of countries, as well as information on the program and its staff, and related materials.
IPRs can be considered complementary to UNCTAD Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Reviews, or other country assessments of technological capacity.
