"Zimbabwe has been elected to head the UN's commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) despite strong objections from Western diplomats."
Comment: This election brings the entire United Nations system into disrepute. Zimbabwe is according to all reports a disaster, with worsening economic conditions, not development. I don't see how the African nations can make such a nomination, nor how the majority of nations could support it. JAD
