The Science, Technology, and Innovation Network (STI) of the Inter-American Development Bank’s Regional Policy Dialog provides high-level policy makers of science and technology in Latin America and the Caribbean with a regular Forum to discuss common policy issues impinging upon the performance of their STI systems and explore regional cooperation initiatives.
Participation to the STI Regional Policy Dialogue network is restricted to high-level policy officials from the IDB’s member countries; the role of the Bank is to facilitate the Dialogue and provide background information with the support of outside experts from academia, business and government.
The STI Network was created in 2006, and holds one hemispheric meeting per year at the Bank headquarters in Washington. It can hold sub-regional meetings at the initiative of its Members.
