This facet of the website of the Committee on Science and Technology of the House of Representatives is specifically in response to concerns of the Congress with the relationship of politics and science and with the contention of the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) (in a February 2004 report) that "science used by Federal agencies to make policy was altered to achieve desired political outcomes."
