Good data well analyzed does little good unless communicated to others
This is a great graph. First the content. I shows how exceptional Homo sapiens is as a species in terms of the size of the brain as compared with other species. It also suggests that species that evolved after the extinction of dinosaurs generally have bigger brains that did the dinosaurs. The graph also illustrates how very good Edward Tufte is at the presentation of information.
Read "The Minister of Information: If this messy world is becoming easier to understand, thank Edward Tufte." by Christopher Bonanos in New York magazine, June 18, 2007.
Tufte is a self publishing genius on the display of information. The article announces the publication of the fourth in a projected series of five works on design and diplay. His "top seller, The Visual Display of Quantitative Information, has been a reliable mover since 1983." Tufte can help you to better display information.
