Talk about complicated

My friend Frances sent me a list of 10 endangered languages produced by Peter K Austin, and I was caught by this:

N|u is !Xóõ (also called Ta'a and spoken by about 4,000 people) which has the most sounds of any language on earth: 74 consonants, 31 vowels, and four tones (voice pitches).
For those of us English speakers who have difficulty understanding English when spoken by someone with a different accent than our own, the idea of learning N|u is so incomprehensible as to require laughter.
