The Most Astounding Fact (Neil deGrasse Tyson, HD)

Astrophysicist Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson was asked by a reader of TIME magazine, "What is the most astounding fact you can share with us about the Universe?" This is his answer.
This is a beautiful video, with an important message.

Dr. Tyson stresses in his speeches that the educational system in the United States has to do a lot better job of motivating our students to study science and engineering, and  to do a much better job in providing educational opportunities to the students we succeed in motivating. He is right.

Dr. Tyson is not only a scientist and scientific administrator, but America's most effective person in popularizing science and communicating science to the public. He is an African American born in 1958, a beneficiary of the Civil Rights Movement that began before his birth and continued throughout his youth, but he still had to overcome prejudice in order to obtain his scientific education and the positions which make him so effective. Think what the country would have lost had the barriers of prejudice prevented him from succeeding!
