The graph above was from a poll which indicates that in spite of all the evidence to the contrary, many Americans still believe that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq when it was invaded by the United States. I find that some 15 percent of Democrats and more than a quarter of independents still believe that false claim. It is really frightening that a significant majority of Republicans believe this.

Too many Americans seem impervious to information
