Australia is baking under a record-breaking heat wave that is literally off the charts! The heat is so extreme that their Bureau of Meteorology had to add new colors to its weather chart to extend its previous maximum temperature range that had been capped at 50 degrees [122°F]! http://ow.ly/gIatj 

If you don't believe that we are experiencing exceptionally hot weather this year, check out this from MediaMatters for America: I quote:

A FoxNews.com article questioned whether 2012 was actually the hottest year on record, quoting "skeptics" who suggest a government office is manipulating data to fabricate proof of rising temperatures. In fact, statistical adjustments made by the agency are required, publicly-documented changes to correct for errors and known sources of bias in the raw data. 

Those who believe Fox News rather than the weather bureau need to revise their approach to the evaluation of the truthfulness of alternative information sources.
